The Rocky Mountain Bead Society is a social, education and industry group to help people interested in bead study and beading techniques find a way to share knowledge and explore new dimensions
We provide exciting, informative, and relevant programs and workshops with locally and nationally recognized people in their fields. We also have a member bookstore and library. Society members frequently bring beads and their latest creations to share.
Our Society has bead lovers of all descriptions. Members vary in their mediums; seed beaders, beaded jewelry, polymer clay, precious metal clay (PMC) or wire wrapping. Some of us are fine jewelers and some of us are weavers or create wearable art. Some of us are authors, business owners, artisans or speakers. But whatever we do, we have fun!
Each month members receive an email blast which informs them of upcoming events and notices regarding the annual Bead Bazaar along with other relative information.
Members receive the benefit of attending a monthly meeting with refreshments, followed by a program which often features speakers from around the world. Members also enjoy the opportunity of volunteering at our annual Bead Bazaar. Also, annually we have a Bead Sampler which is an opportunity for members to enjoy several classes with different techniques and materials, all for free. There are other free events throughout the year as well as classes and workshop presented by nationally recognized artist, offered at greatly reduced prices.
Membership is annual, from the month you join the society. Membership fees are 4 types: Individual Membership; $25.00, Family Membership; $35.00, Artisan Membership; $35.00 and Business Membership; $75.00. (Click on the “Renew Membership” button at the top of this page to see a description of the different membership types).
