The Rocky Mountain Bead Society (RMBS) is one of the ten member clubs that make up the Greater Denver Area Gem and Mineral Council, which meets quarterly. The Council is the governing body that sponsors the annual Denver Gem and Mineral Show and directs the disbursement of Show proceeds as grants, gifts, or loans to other non-profit organizations for the advancement of the arts and sciences within the field of interest of the Council. A member of RMBS is one of the voting Trustees on the Council. As a member club, RMBS may use Council assets such as cases, hospitality equipment, communication equipment, and may purchase table coverings at cost from the Council. The Council grants $250 each year to RMBS to offset newsletter costs.
